Job Purpose
We are seeking an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) L2 Engineer responsible for supporting and maintaining OCI cloud services and infrastructure. The engineer will manage operational activities, troubleshoot incidents, monitor cloud resources, and ensure high availability of OCI workloads. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience across OCI compute, networking, storage, database, security, and backup services.
Job Description
  • Provide L2 support for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve OCI infrastructure incidents and service requests.
  • Monitor OCI resources and ensure platform availability.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive actions.
  • Support cloud provisioning, maintenance, and optimization activities.
  • Participate in infrastructure upgrades, patching, and change implementations.
  • Support OCI Compute, Autonomous Database, Block Volumes, Object Storage, File Storage, VCN, IAM, and Load Balancers.
  • Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery operations.
  • Work with application teams to resolve platform-related issues.
 
Knowledge & Experience
Qualifications skills
  • Experience: 5–7 years in cloud infrastructure / L2 support.
  • OCI Foundations Certification (preferred).
  • OCI Architect Associate (preferred).
  • OCI Operations Associate (preferred).
  • ITIL Foundation (preferred).
Required Skills
  • OCI Compute, OKE and Database.
  • Storage services: Block Volumes, Object Storage, and File Storage.
  • Networking: Virtual Cloud Networks (VCN), Security Lists, Route Tables, Load Balancers, FastConnect, and VPN connectivity.
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM) and IDCS.
  • OCI Monitoring Services.
  • Linux administration (RHEL, Oracle Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu).
  • Windows Server administration.
  • Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
Good to have skills
  • Exposure to IBM Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure.
  • Shell scripting, Python, or PowerShell.
  • ITIL framework knowledge.
What Success Looks like?
  • OCI workloads remain highly available and stable, with incidents and service requests resolved within agreed SLAs.
  • Root cause analysis is performed on recurring issues, with preventive actions implemented to reduce repeat incidents.
  • Provisioning, patching, upgrades, and change implementations are completed smoothly with minimal disruption.
  • Backup, recovery, and disaster recovery operations are tested and reliable.
  • Platform-related issues are resolved in close collaboration with application teams.
