We are looking for Principal Engineers (8+ years) with strong hands-on experience in MERN Full Stack role to lead the technical strategy and execution for our ecommerce and marketplace platforms. In this role, you will act as a key technical leader, driving architectural decisions, guiding engineering teams, and ensuring the scalability, performance, and security of our systems. The ideal candidate has a strong background in ecommerce, marketplace ecosystems, and enterprise-grade software development, with a focus on innovation and delivering impactful solutions.

MANDATORY SKILLSET: MERN Full Stack (MongoDB, React JS & NodeJS - Must have)

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership: Define and oversee the technical vision, strategy, and roadmap for ecommerce and marketplace platforms.
• Architecture Design: Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure solutions tailored for high-growth ecommerce and marketplace environments.
• System Scalability: Drive the design of systems that can handle high traffic, large data volumes, and increasing complexity as the business scales.
• Innovation: Research and implement emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge in ecommerce and marketplace development.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product management, operations, and other stakeholders to align technical priorities with business goals.
• Integration Leadership: Architect seamless integrations with third-party services such as payment gateways, logistics platforms, ERP, CRM, and analytics tools.
• Mentorship: Guide senior and mid-level engineers by sharing best practices, conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Operational Excellence: Ensure system reliability, availability, and performance through robust DevOps practices and monitoring solutions.
• Compliance & Security: Define and enforce security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., PDPL, PCI-DSS).
• Thought Leadership: Represent the organization in technical discussions, external forums, and conferences, establishing yourself as a subject matter expert.

 Required Skills and Qualifications
• Experience: 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership or architect role.
• Ecommerce Expertise: Proven track record of designing and scaling ecommerce and marketplace platforms, including multi-vendor capabilities, dynamic pricing models, and global expansion.
• Technical Mastery: Expertise in MERN stack. (Mandatory)
• Deep understanding of API design, microservices architecture, and event-driven systems.
• Hands-on experience with headless commerce and composable architecture principles.
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Strong expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP for deploying scalable and fault-tolerant systems.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures.
• Data Management:  Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases, including schema design, optimization, and scaling.
• Experience working with large-scale datasets, data lakes, and analytics pipelines. Performance Optimization: Proven ability to enhance system performance, reduce latency, and optimize Core Web Vitals, API latency, and Profiling for ecommerce.
• Security & Compliance: Deep knowledge of implementing security protocols, fraud detection, and compliance with industry standards.
• DevOps: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog), and disaster recovery planning. Preferred Skills
• Experience with marketplace-specific features like vendor onboarding, commission management, and dispute resolution systems.
• Familiarity with advanced personalization engines, recommendation systems, and AI-driven solutions for ecommerce.

• Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
